The company serves patients in hundreds of unique health plans throughout the country by managing their transportation needs. A substantial segment of its contracts is with Medicaid health plans, which have expanded in the number of people they cover in recent years. By law, Medicaid health plans in all states have provisions requiring coverage for transportation to and from medical services, especially the elderly, those with disabilities and people without access to transportation. Notably, a large percent of its other health plan contracts is with Medicare Advantage plans, as such plans often include transportation services as part of benefits offerings, and plans find value in American Logistics’ premier level of customer service.
American Logistics was also the first to strategically align with ridesharing companies, adding a fleet of on-demand options to its blend of multi-tiered transportation resources. Extensive member research programs implemented into its proprietary technology platforms deliver a member-first approach to services. With more than 25 years of expertise in managing the evolving landscape of NEMT, strategic foresight has enabled American Logistics to effectively and efficiently coordinate appointments, calls, and schedules of thousands of patients and drivers per day.

Nationwide transportation database and subcontracted network
American Logistics maintains a nationwide transportation database (NTDB) of all qualified providers by county including capabilities. Our vetted subcontracted fleet with local/national transportation providers are leveraged to cover all modes of medical transportation for the healthcare partners we service. These providers (often long-term partners of American Logistics) are processed through a predictive analytic algorithm (volume, trip length, inventory, trip type) to ensure volume needs and member expectations are met. All performance metrics are monitored and reported on to maintain best-of-industry network we pride ourselves on.
Complying with evolving State, Federal and contracted healthcare regulatory landscape
Maintaining regulatory standards that change state by state can be a daunting task. Our veteran Provider Relations and Compliance teams are able to manage these regulations and hold our NTDB and subcontracted network compliant through our software platform (RideCafé) along with monthly audits. To be a part of our Safety Society Network, transportation providers must first undergo extensive background checks and be enrolled in a drug and alcohol screening program. Each driver added to the American Logistics program is thoroughly screened by the service provider to ensure that they are compliant with state, local and contractual regulations. We verify these measures prescriptively to ensure passenger safety and member satisfaction are above standards.
