We are operating at high capacity and will continue to serve our customers. Check back here for updates as they develop.
During this difficult time, we want to send our best wishes for your health and safety, and that of your fellow employees and families. American Logistics has taken several key steps to help protect the health and safety of our employees. At the same time, we want to reassure you that we have taken significant action to maintain the continuity of service so important to our customers. As we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, our operation centers and provider networks are working to serve you and your passenger population in need of transportation. Below are documents we’ve shared with our internal employees, service providers, and valued partners. These documents apply to the Coronavirus and contain important information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) including;
- Checking for symptoms and staying at home if you or a member in your household might have a fever or show other symptoms.
- The critical importance of hand washing and sanitizing continually throughout the day.
- Recommendations and instructions on vehicle cleaning and disinfecting.
A message to our service provider network:
COVID-19 Guidance for NEMT and NMT Providers
Drivers
Per the Centers for Disease Control, any person who may have symptoms of acute respiratory illness are recommended to stay home and not come to work until they are free of fever (100.4° F [37.8° C] or greater using an oral thermometer), signs of a fever, and any other symptoms for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medicines (e.g. cough suppressants).
Vehicles
It is imperative that vehicles are stocked with alcohol-based hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes. Please ensure that adequate supplies are maintained, and that hand sanitizer is accessible to only the driver.
It’s important to clean your hands often with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60-95% alcohol or wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Soap and water should be used preferentially if hands are visibly dirty.
Perform routine cleaning of your vehicle.
Routinely use cleaning agents on all frequently touched surfaces on vehicles and equipment such as doors, doorknobs, seats, seatbelts, and booster chairs.
Stock and utilize disposable wipes so that commonly used surfaces can be wiped down before and after each route.
If one of your drivers is confirmed to have COVID-19, it is mandatory that you, the Service Provider, immediately report this information to American Logistics, and fellow employees of the possible exposure to COVID-19 in the workplace.
Please refer to the documents below as recommendations from the CDC for further information.
Additionally, we are closely monitoring the situation with public health officials and will continue to actively communicate with you and our teams across the country should there be updated information.
Please feel free to reach out to us, your American Logistics representatives, or any of our team members in the field with questions or concerns at [email protected]
We appreciate your continued trust.
